Puzzle Description:

I bought an unusual home-crafted bug repellent at a farmer's market that really works and doesn't smell bad. Unfortunately my cat loves to lick it off me. It contains catnip, which is known to repel bugs. I asked the inventor next time I went to the market if it would be bad for the cat, and she said it would be fine but most cats don't care for it because it doesn't have much catnip in it. I guess I just have a catnip junky!

Initial line & color logic solves 4% with only black remaining.

R20: EL on the 8 places black in C7-13. LL.

R20: EL on the 2 places black in C3. LL.

C20: EL on the 5 places it fully in R1-5. LL.

R15: If C5 is black, R16C5 and R16C7 would both need to be white and R14C5 and R16C6 would both need to be black, which makes R16 invalid. Therefore R15C5 must be white.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by wombatilim.

I managed to solve this using edge logic, so I know it's doable. I don't like any puzzles that you have to do more than simple edge logic or smile logic, so I would never post one.

This story reminds me of the time I bought some catnip spray to spray on a scratching post for my (then) new cat. He wound up licking the post. I suppose I should have seen that coming. But I wish I had a picture. He looked quite silly.
