Brian - My best guess for what's next is that the people who already like Trump view this as one more conspiracy against him and support him even more, but this might sway some fence-sitters to vote against him. So then those two groups cancel each other out and this doesn't actually change anything.

Steve - I don't think Biden is senile. He is accomplishing too many really amazing things for that!

I think 45 counts would have been more poetic. Folks could wear the same hats!

It's sad that we have to vote for one of the two, in a country so big.

Now probably nothing. Trump never seems to face any consequences. For some reason half the American electorate doesn't care what he does. He can do no wrong in their eyes.

StevieB, it's a pretty easy choice. One candidate is a Putin wanna-be, Hitler loving, Democracy-cancelling, racist, misogynistic bully as well as a convicted felon, and the other is a thoughtful decision-maker. Both of them are old enough to be forgetful, but Biden is definitely not senile.

Actually now there is a 3rd option - but since his brain has been infected by a worm, he's worse than the other two.

I'm really glad to see a little pushback on the Biden senility issue. I see no senility issues in his dealings with our nation. He's dealt with a stuttering issue all his life. Bravo to him for being brave enough to enter the political arena with it...and doing a good job of conquering it while he works hard for the American middle class and below...NOT the upper 5%, for which trump passed legislation actually undercutting benefits to those most needy.

In related news(?), How about Mexico electing its first female Jewish (or Jewish female) president?

Technically she is Mexico's first female president *and* their first Jewish president. Though she is also their first Jewish female president. (Says Valerie picturing Venn diagrams.) She's also a climate scientist. This is very cool!

Joe Lovell - I still don't think that is true. For whatever that's worth.

Having the good sense to drop out of the race (as an 81-year-old man) is, I think, the opposite of senility. I wish the 78-year-old would also drop out. That's a highly stressful job.

As I solved t his puzzle we have 11 days of this exhausting election season left. Fun puzzle.

I so hope we don't end up with a fascist dictator for president. If you can't vote for a Democrat, vote Libertarian or something.

I don't know who I'm more afraid of: the bully who is all about revenge and name calling and dictatorship, or the people who blindly follow him and think he can do no wrong. This is no longer about differences in political views, it's a difference of the heart. This man is morally bankrupt and untethered from the truth. I can't be friends with people who support someone like that.

Little did we imagine how bad it would get under the felon.
