Speaking of sweet (and what look like cakes)...did you have a cake and, if so, what flavor was it Kristen? We are still deciding on ours. I want a tier of tres leches, a tier of tiramisu, a tier of cheesecake, a tier of black forest, a tier of lemon, a tier of coconut cream, a tier of dulce de leche and tier of red velvet...with layers of blackberry jam and cream cheese and fresh strawberries and lemon curd and dark chocolate ganache and praline pecans...with honey, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, cashew icings! But I might get veto'ed. Might not be "elegant" enough :P

How could you forget the fudge brownie tier?!

We got 2 cakes from a local restaurant; One was Italian Creme, and the other was Triple Chocolate. No tiers, just tall, 3-layer sheet cakes.

Perfect! Thanks Yonah! I needed another tier idea to keep the proportions looking correct! On the other hand...Kristen's sounds utterly delicious as well!

All those cakes sound delicious, and David, your idea with all those different layers sounds amazing!!!!!!

What's funny is the cake combo that I have in mind actually sounds super-complicated but just not that complicated...so that was a bit of reality based satire :) I'm thinking each of the three tiers is the exact same composition of three cake layers. Imagine this:

Amaretto Cake
Blackberry Jam
Lavender Cake
Blackberry Jam
Amaretto Cake

...now wrap that in Almond Cream Cheese Icing. Not crazy complicated, but might still get veto'ed :P

Oh! ...and groom's cake is some form of chocolaty chocolate :)
