I love the title in here--the image definitely fits!#2: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Mar 21, 2023
Thanks. I was inspired by JoDeen's puzzle 36549 and her brave attempt at her first puzzle. (This is my first puzzle also.)#3: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 21, 2023
Go Joanne!!!#4: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Mar 21, 2023
I love the way that solved!#5: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Mar 21, 2023 [SPOILER]
Hi Joanne, I love your first puzzle! I especially enjoy that as we go along, more and more images are jumping out.#6: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 21, 2023 [SPOILER]
Correct me if I'm not interpreting this correctly, but have you added an extra "i" to your name? I read (across):
JO FIR(a)IA. The second line from the bottom is a blend of an (extra)"A" and an "I?"
JoDeen -- I read it as Joanne's username, JoFirla.#7: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Mar 21, 2023
Thanks, Val. I was confused, also.#8: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Mar 21, 2023
That's correct Valerie. Thanks for clarifying that for me..#9: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Mar 22, 2023 [SPOILER]
I'm still confused. Am I not seeing what you see? Isn't there and extra "a?" in the second row from the bottom (would be row number 9)...or am I hallucinating?#10: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 22, 2023 [SPOILER]
Joanne doesn't spell her last name Firaia. The first four filled in squares in row 9 are an "a" in morse code. Row 9 should consist of just an "i" (composed of 2 dots.) Shouldn't it?

Rows 1-3 of the puzzle are blank.
Row 4 is J
Row 5 is O
Row 6 is F
Row 7 is I
Row 8 is R
Row 9 is L
Row 10 is A
I think the confusion is that Morse code is made up of just dots and dashes, so one letter can be contained within another. The L in row 9 is dot-dash-dot-dot. If you split it in half, the first dot-dash is also the code for A, and the dot-dot is the code for i.
Wonderfully clever, and a nice bit of pareidolia.#12: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Mar 22, 2023 [SPOILER]
Gee, I had no idea that the spelling of my last name was going to cause such confusion. Sorry about that.#13: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 22, 2023
Not everyone takes a person's userID into consideration. ^_^#14: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 23, 2023
I had to look up the word pareidolia. Miriam-Webster says it is "the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern." Neat!#15: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 23, 2023
Like, seeing the head of a man in a Mars rock. :) https://www.planetary.org/space-images/face-on-mars
