Is this a play on words?
The actual saying is "biding my time", as in waiting and being patient.

I personally have heard someone use this saying. I'm just biting my time until a better job comes along.

I'm just going back and doing your other "messed up" puzzles. So now I see what you are doing - messed up/mashed up sayings. Love your puzzles, always enjoy working them out.
And yes - many people misunderstand what these sayings should be - just like when we misunderstand the words of songs. Very funny what some people sing out loud.
