How to solve it works sort of like smile logic. After line logic is done, you need to place the bottom red 5s in columns 8 and 9. If column 9's 5 is in rows 32-36, then the red 1 in row 36 means that the 5 in column 8 goes in the higher position, from rows 31-35. But that puts a gap in the red 5 in row 31, and it can't have a gap. So column 9's 5 must be in the other possible position, in rows 31-35.
