Puzzle Description:

MY Brain! I really should get down & dust it every now and again! I really only made this out of fun & if you make this a winner, I suggest you dust your brain off too..

#1: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 14, 2008

Very nice image! It was painstakingly tedious, however. I realize that if you did it any other way, however, it wouldn't be as recognizable or as well done.

Even though you said this was a joke and "out of fun" I must point out (as a judge) that it doesn't actually meet the qualifications set forth by the title of WC#4: "Getting dusty on the shelf" unless 1 of 2 things occurs...

Either YOU are a permanent fixture on a shelf you have, or
you change the description to "A brain" (not "MY Brain) and then I could allow it to pass as maybe you are a lab guru and have an enormous collections of brains sitting on a shelf, one of which (this one) could be the dustiest. LOL

Thank you for your entry.

Or she is a mad scientific and she collecting puzzler brain to extract our how-to-do-it fonction and become the best puzzle creator/solver here....lol

I have to agree with Adam on this one the originality is there but I don't see how YOUR brain can be on a shelf

But if we remove this technicality its a great image. ( I once did something rather similar and got grest comment so this one can still be podium material never know before the end)

#3: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Sep 15, 2008
Well we can't say is doesn't meet the requirements 'cause we didn't specify that the shelf can't be a metaphor & how many times do you see a bunch of vegi-tales or a cat in the grocery bag? !?!?!?
#4: Kuuipo (monkeylover) on Sep 15, 2008
Hello...like I said in be description, "I really only made this out of fun & if you make this a winner, I suggest you dust your brain off too.."
I added the second part 'cause you all are always altering the requirements.

so "NO" this is not an entry to the contest!!
#5: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 15, 2008
ok but we don't alter the requirement some week gonna have special rule just for the fun and the challenge of it

the rule are and are going to stay as written in the honor page, we adapt those rule one time since it was all new and the rules we're just trow like this without considering all option. After two week we three judge review the rule to make sure everything was fair and clear. THat the set of rule we now follow and that with no revision ahead.

So as your request monkeylover I will withdraw this puzzle from competition and I'll be waiting for your afficial entry later this week

Competition or not- this is a great puzzle! It did take extra care, but was worth it. Thank you very much for a nice morning!
#7: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 15, 2008
agreed
#8: Deana L (ffswife) on Sep 15, 2008 [SPOILER]
I'm with Nancy on this one! If you let in Veggie Tales and a Cat, ya gotta let in the brain. There are many times I think I've left MY brain sitting on a shelf at home! :)

EXCELLNT PUZZLE!! Love the image, love the twist to the theme, love everything about it! :)
#9: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 15, 2008
I don't care if we let it in or not Adam argument was correct if we take the theme on a strict description basic, but them again it was on of the most original creation on one of my theme so far, the fact is that monkeylover say it herself that it was not in contest so if she do not want it to be in the WC this week she has final say
#10: tj stein (tjstein) on Sep 15, 2008
Wonderful puzzle, I loved solving this one.
#11: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 15, 2008
Yes, I don't care if it entered in or not. Everyone makes good points, but like Sylvain said, monkeylover herself doesn't even want it submitted! So there is nothing to argue about. LOL
#12: Jan Young (haidapup) on Sep 16, 2008
I thought it was a great brain.
#13: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 16, 2008 [SPOILER]
Monkeylover this puzzle is brillant and I truly think it should be in competition this week.

Nothing in the rule said that the theme must be taken by the book, so this idea was a great interpretation of the theme ( just like the veggie of last week)

So its up to you in or out of the competition?

Please tell me your answer
#14: Kuuipo (monkeylover) on Sep 16, 2008
I guess it would be up to everyone else..it was created out of fun.....I don't want any hard feeling so I will leave that up to everyone else
#15: Gypso (Gypso) on Sep 16, 2008
Leave it in the contest already!!
Brilliant puzzle Monkeylover!
It took concentration to solve which made me feel accomplished when I finished.
Good solid image and best of all very funny.
Love your sense of humor.

Please leave this in as an entry. :-)
Thanks for the puzzle.
