Only one of those can be in c13, so the blot in c14 must be lengthened by one.

Smile logic on the black clues in r17&18 - the 2 in r17 can go in only one place to leave room for the 1s in r18

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.

The blots made this fun.

First off, really nice image! This was fun and I liked watching him take shape. Secondly, I was a little surprised at your clues comment. I stuck to color and line logic and got all the way to the center curl of his hair before I had to do any lookahead. then i did "the C14 blot can't extend to R11 or it violates C13 so R14C11 is a dot" and was done. I don't have time to resolve to see if I just made a lucky mistake, but I might try this again when I do have time.

I wasn't keeping notes, so I could have forgotten something, but David's description matches my recollection.

Originally I was going to just look at the solution, but the image was so neat that I went back and logicked my way through the whole puzzle.

It's certainly possible I missed some color logic. But when the smile logic was staring me in the face, I just went with it instead of interminable scrounging for the CL.
