I noticed that insignia, but then the Earthlike blues and greens weren't entirely contained therein, but I also couldn't imagine those Earthlike tones comprising an spherical planet-like shape occluded by the insignia, so I was skeptical of my thoughts there, and then what's the significance of the red/white/black backdrop, and the red's presence inside the insignia? I enjoyed this puzzle with all it's a's. And if you are talking about politicians, I agree with the comment about intelligent life.
