Puzzle Description:
Up spoke an elder knacht, Sat at the king's right knee, "Sir Patrick Spens is the best Saylor To ever sail the sea." Speculation and some evidence from other verses suggest the elder knight may have been deliberately sending Spens to his doom. A verse included on the Wickipedia entry for this ballad has the king motivated to have his daughter returned to him.
