Very cute! Couldn't find the logic to place the 7 in C45, may be someone will!

After the initial LL (which solves more than half of the puzzle), EL on R3 (see how R2 is affected) makes R3C33-34 and R3C43-44 dots. LL.

Similarly, EL in R2 (compare to R1) makes R2C33-34 and R2C33-34 dots. LL.

Focusing on the 3 clue in R2, imagine if it is in R2C35-37. This would force dots in the rest of this row and make R1C38-40 dots. That makes R1 invalid, so R2C35 must be a dot. You can use this same logic to make R2C36 a dot. LL.

EL in R5 makes R5C44-45 dots.

If the clue in R1 is at R1C40-42, this forces R3C42 and R4C40 to be dots and R3-4C35 to be black. That makes C35 invalid, so R1C42 is a dot. LL.

This next move, I'm classifying as deep lookahead as it is a 3 move lookahead. If the 3 clue in R1 is at R1C39-41, then the rest of R1 is dots, R2C40 is black and R6C41 is black. This forces R2C37 to be a dot, then then R6C37 would be black. That makes R6 invalid, so R1C41 is a dot. LL.

Now looking at the 7 clue in R33, use EL to make R33C23-34 and R33C41-45 dots.

EL in R32 makes R32C43-45 dots.

EL in C45 makes R16-21C45 dots.

Next we are going to do some deep EL. The 7 clue in C45 has to go somewhere in R6-15C45 or R22-31C45. Let's assume it goes in the bottom part. This would make R25-28C45 black. Now look at how C32 would be affected. The blacks would force R25-28C32 to be dots. That makes C32 invalid as the 3 and 2 clues would be impossible to place then. So this tells us that the 7 clue in C45 has to go in the upper part and the lower part must be dots. LL.

I'll going to stop here as I having trouble finding a way forward from here.

Cute little turtle going out on the town.

Cute final image. A bit disappointing because of the amount of guessing needed for the finial solving. The shell is great. More detail with the head and feet would have made it much more solvable. For instance, a few grass blades could have made a real difference. Love the tail.

Lauren, at the very bottom of the page where you create your puzzle there is a box with Check written in it. Have you been clicking on this box before you publish? If not you should and it will tell you if there are any problems with your puzzle. If there are some you can tweak it to get rid of any problems.

Hi Norma,

Yes I do check the box every time I create a puzzle. Is there a way I can check for potential issues that the website can't find?

This is such a cute image.

I always try to solve my own puzzles before publishing. If you are not an experienced solver, the helper can get you a long way, if not finish solving for you.

There are a bunch of more expert solvers here so if I can't finish solving a puzzle doesn't mean it is unsolvable, just that it may require guessing (or look ahead logic). I try to publish only solvable puzzles but sometimes the picture is better and I publish anyway.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Thanks Gator.

Most of the people who create puzzles make sure they like how they solve by solving their puzzles before publishing them. There were times I was not happy with the solve and would change or add something and fiddle with it until I was more satisfied with the solve. BlackCat's, comment #4,had a good suggestion.

Great solve. I am happy that it was difficult. The shell can be solved by looking at where the green can go. The outline can be mostly solved by looking at the patterns of numbers. I did have to guess a bit, but overall, great satisfying puzzle.

When a line breaks like it does column 42-43 and row 5-6 it often makes the puzzle hard or difficult to solve. Another example of this is column 22-23 and row 29-30.

After Gator's hint:

R33: Wherever the 7 is placed, it will at least start the 2 in R32. We can mark R32 C23-24 and C27-31 white.

C23: Whether the 1 goes in R29 or R30, R30C24 will be black.

R30: If the 2nd 2 goes to the right, R30C25 will be black. If it goes to the left, either R29C25 or R31C25 will be black. With any of these possibilities, R33C25 is white.

R33: Any valid position for the 7 will now account for both the 2nd 2 and the 3 in R32. R32 C36-37 and C41-42 can be marked white.

R33: Whichever valid placement of the 7 is used, R30-32 C34 will be black. LL.

R29: Whichever way the 2 goes, it starts the 2nd 2 in R28. R28 C37-38 and C40-44 are white. LL.

R28: Whichever place the 2nd 2 goes, it uses the 1 in R27. R27 C26, C33, and C36-37 are white. LL.

R29: If the 2nd 2 goes to the left, R24C34 will be black. If it goes to the right, R24C32 will be black. Either one completes R24, so R24 C35-44 are white.

Currently at 89%, but I'm not seeing another conclusive move at the moment. Giving this a break for now.
