Puzzle Description:

A 3D view is possible if you defocus your eyes (so you see double) such that the small dot from each side of the puzzle meet to form a single dot in a middle view: showing a basketball hoop, the ball in flight and the arm of the shooter. Swish!

I can't get the views to merge. I don't know if the picture is too wide, or if I'm just out of practice.

Some tips that might help you see the combined center image:
1) While viewing, your eyes do not go cross-eyed, but in the other direction.
2) If the images don't move close enough to each other, try a smaller picture size, or move away from the puzzle.
3) If the images overshoot and go past each other, move toward the puzzle.
I think it's like focusing at something behind the puzzle.
Hope the above helps, but I know not everyone can see these.
There may be better tips on the internet. Here's one I found:

I can't focus my eyes beyond the image, but if I look cross-eyed I can see the image in 3-d but in reverse. So it looks like the ball is behind the basket and way too big to fit in.

Belita, try "peek"ing at the solution to #34335. I tweaked the 3D image so that it should work for the cross-eyed view. I have a hard time viewing this type, so I'm curious if it works for you (or for anyone else).

Okay! When I pulled up the finished puzzle (Peek at Solution), it was small enough that I could easily merge the two sides. :)

Alas, I am not blessed with stereo vision. I see double normally, and the two images overlap, so it looks like there are three 2D images here instead of one 3D image. This is a cool idea, and I wish to death that I could see it.

Kristen, glad you had success with the smaller sized puzzle.
Michael, sorry you can't see it, but it's not that big of a thrill, and it's a little gimicky for a PBN.
