I was able to read the first 3 chapters on my lunch break. Really interesting so far! I've met the pirate and the serving girl, the new acolyte, and the fortune-teller's son.

I finally finished it! The entire 2nd half of the book felt like I was careening along to disaster (for the characters, not because of the writing). Very rich storytelling, and a wild ride!

The book definitely gets more outlandish as it goes on. But it's a fun wild ride.
