Puzzle Description:

Tittles

#1: Steve (stevieb) on Jun 25, 2020

Always tittle your 'i's :)
#2: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Jun 25, 2020 [SPOILER]
I love tittles. I wonder what they're called in other languages? And how many other languages have tittles?
#3: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jun 25, 2020
Found to be solvable with deep lookahead by valerie.
#4: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 25, 2020 [HINT]
I didn't mark this as DEFINITELY moderate, but I used some simple 2-way logic to place the 3 in R18, with stems of 4 and 2. It solves with LL from there.
#5: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 25, 2020
Those are cute little tittles. (✬‿✬)
#6: Philip (Philip) on Jun 25, 2020 [HINT]
It took me a while to spot it, but I think it's moderate lookahead, not deep:
LL
EL R18 (to R17 and R14): C1-3,9,14-15 are white
LL
EL R11 (to R10): C14-15 are white
EL R10 (to R9): C14-15 are white
LL to finish
#7: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jun 25, 2020 [HINT]
@6: Philip, I'm not seeing how R18C9 has to be white. I agree with everything else, but I reasoned that technically, with just moderate lookahead, C9 could be part of the 3 (R18C9-11) if R17C9-10 are part of the 2 clue.

And without C9 whiting out, there is no LL from there.

Is there something I'm missing?
#8: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jun 25, 2020 [HINT]
@4: Kristen, I'd like to try it your way, but I'm not seeing how one can even use two-way in that spot. Right now, I've only got two black pixels and some patches of white, but nothing I can work with on moderate lookahead alone. Any tips?
#9: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jun 25, 2020
I did guess twice, but it is an enjoyable puzzle.
#10: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Jun 25, 2020
I'll go switch it to Moderate Lookahead.
#11: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jun 25, 2020
Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by valerie.
#12: Philip (Philip) on Jun 25, 2020 [HINT]
@7: Aurelian, for R18C9 the 6 and 7 clues in C8 and C9 would both reach R14, which only has 1 clues.
#13: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Jun 26, 2020
Not enough snark about tittles ... :(
#14: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Jun 26, 2020 [SPOILER]
It's a nice pair of tittles, if that cheers you up Bullet
#15: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 26, 2020
I'm definitely tittleated!
#16: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jun 26, 2020
@12: Thank you!
#17: Carol Brand (KarylAnn) on Jun 27, 2020
I've never heard the word before! Thanks for the education! Nice puzzle.
#18: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jun 27, 2020
I like how the tittles, the dots, actual get solved after the rest of the letter is complete.

I remember doing a "messed up saying" series that included one "cross your eyes and dot your tees."
#19: Claudia (clau_bolson) on Jun 27, 2020 [SPOILER]
Bill Eisenmann: tittles are the dots over i and j so every language that uses latin alphabet has them.
If you mean "two dots over a letter" (umlaut or diaresis)(because the puzzle looks like a y with two dots over it) In Spanish there is only one case in which it is used: ge - gue - güe or gi - gui - güi
#20: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jun 27, 2020 [SPOILER]
It's i & j
#21: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Oct 2, 2022
The world needs more tittles!
