Puzzle Description:

Can you guess the four words that are formed by rearranging the letters in "MARIE LOUISE"? Three words for the item on the left; one word for the item on the right.

Here's a clue: The three words for the item on the left form a complete sentence. If that object could talk and tell you what it does, what would it say?

I measure oil / A Milieu Rose
#3: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Oct 12, 2019
It looks like a bubble wand and a kid's necklace. But I can't pull "I make bubbles," or "I hold soap" from Marie Louise. There is also no "beads," or "strand" in her name either. This is a tough one. Am I close, or do I have both objects misidentified?
#4: Brenda Barnes Jamieson (bbj) on Oct 12, 2019 [SPOILER]
I've got a three letter word for the right, but I'm not doing so well on the left. Yet.

I Rouse Ma, and Lei?
Maybe Ma is as dangerous to wake as my daughter used to be; I once watched her friends try to get her up in the morning by poking her with a broom handle.
#6: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Oct 12, 2019
I Am Sour and Lei
#7: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 13, 2019
I was thinking the same Norma, but we are missing an E :(
#8: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 13, 2019 [SPOILER]
Maybe Teresa is pulling our leg and the left thing isn't a thing at all. Giving us this:

MOI? A RUSE! ...& LEI
#9: David (david152) on Oct 13, 2019 [SPOILER]
The item on the left sure looks like a dipstick, so that explains "I measure oil", but that leaves no letters for the "lei". What am I missing?
#10: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Oct 14, 2019 [SPOILER]
I get "I a mouser" and "lei"...which make no sense to me, unless that is one emaciated cat on the left...with no eyes...or ears...missing three legs...and a tail....

I so badly want to say, "I'm a rose" and "lei"...but then there's a "u" left over.

I sue Roma | Amor | Mora
I use Amor
#12: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 14, 2019 [SPOILER]
i think david's on to something with the dipstick. i think that's what that is!
#13: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 14, 2019 [SPOILER]
Spanish for "It is", short for "regarding" and the lei as a symbol of a place?

ES RE: OIL ... MAUI?
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 14, 2019 [SPOILER]
Oh my gosh! I screwed up! What was I thinking. I'm sorry guys.

So, whoever guessed "I measure oil" is correct, and yes that is a lei, but I don't know what happened. So maybe "a mousier lei" would do here, as it is not as lush and full as the ones I remember in Hawaii.

I like everyone's guesses. Maceraseven, I like "A Milieu Rose" so that makes you the winner, because you were the first to solve the left side.

David, your answers are so creative, you get a gold star for making me laugh.

Brenda, I really like your answer too, because it's a true, funny story. Yeah!

You all get an A for effort. I hopefully get a chance to redeem myself by getting a do-over for Marie Louise.
#15: Marie-Louise Ambrey (Tazzy) on Oct 14, 2019
I think your puzzle is great Teresa, reusing a few letters to make another Image to make it more fun is a good thing. I’m guessing it was tough coming up with usable words from my name, well done!
#16: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 14, 2019
Thanks, Tazzy!
#17: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 15, 2019
I think the confusion added to the fun :) ...normally when i do these, someone else has long guessed it correctly ;)
#18: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 15, 2019 [SPOILER]
I got I A MOUSER and LEI, but the item on the left doesn't look much like a grammatically-challenged cat. :)
#19: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 15, 2019
Yes, Kristen, my mousers would always be grammatically correct mousers. :-D

David, that you had fun helps me feel better about messing up. :-)
#20: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 16, 2019
i try to make sure that whatever i mess up at, that people around me have fun because of it :)
