Puzzle Description:
Dorothy and Matthew mentioned Rick's pixel array. (Two words) --See comment 1

The description is a clue to the subject using cryptic crossword clue rules.#2: Phyllis Schimke (PhyS) on Jul 23, 2019 [SPOILER]
Every cryptic clue is made up of two parts; a definition, and a literal description of the answer using wordplay. They can be in either order (though not intertwined) and there is no separation between them.

Dot Matrix?#3: Raymond Fuller (rfuller4) on Jul 23, 2019 [SPOILER]
Yes! I also think it's dot matrix!#4: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 23, 2019 [SPOILER]
You got it!#5: Steve (stevieb) on Jul 24, 2019
For beginner cryptic solvers:
This is a charade type clue (with a homonym)
Dorothy (dot)
and (doesn't add to answer)
Matthew (mat -a less common nickname)
mentioned Rick's (rix = sounds like Rick's)
pixel array (definition)
And of course, the picture is a printer.
Dot Matrix (actually got one!)#6: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jul 24, 2019
This one was so fun! Two aha! moments in recognizing the image and the cryptic. *****#7: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 26, 2019 [SPOILER]
Yep, I thought, "Hey, that looks like a printer! Hmm, Dot, Matt, Rick's..."#8: Velma Warren (Shiro) on Jul 26, 2019 [SPOILER]
No ah-hah for me but a fun solve. Yes, I can now see the printer.#9: Kathy Cain (kathycain) on Jul 27, 2019
I really enjoy these puzzles.#10: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Oct 28, 2022 [SPOILER]
OMG I got one!!! I've had the toughest time figuring out these cryptic puzzles, but maybe because I recognized the printer and have lived long enough to know the type, I was able to reverse engineer the clue. :)
