I love owls (mostly) and I love this puzzle. But I don't love owls that swoop down and snatch the family pet.

I do love owls! Obviously.

When we lived out in the country (swamp-adjacent), we often heard barred owls hooting.

My husband took the most adorable picture of two baby owls. One was looking right at the camera with his big innocent eyes, and the other was squinting like he'd rather be asleep.

That's what I thought YOLO meant when my students started saying it a lot. Of course, I was teaching Zoology and watching all the owl boxes on the net at the time. Still love them.

I love them, too. I didn't know for a long time that they made up some notes of the song I listened to falling asleep every summer night on my grandpa's farm as a child.

I started solving from the bottom, so at one point it looked like a dead or dying houseplant in a flowerpot. It was then that I realized that YOLO isn't just for humans...
