Puzzle Description:

How many of you watched this guy and his friends on PBS

#1: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Apr 18, 2019 [SPOILER]

I watched my fair share of PBS growing up, but I have no idea who this guy is. I'm hoping to have that "oh, yeah, I remember him now" moment after his identity is revealed.
#2: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Apr 19, 2019 [SPOILER]
I can't think of who this (bear?) (dog?) is either...and I thought I knew pretty much the whole gamut of characters on PBS.

Waiting until someone identifies him!

Give us a hint please. What is the green thing in its hand? Is that a purple sweater? Live action or cartoon? Human or animal?
#4: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 19, 2019
I thought the plaid shirt would be a dead giveaway. I think I whipped this out too fast. The thing in his right hand is supposed to be duct tape. (An unopened roll with the label still on it because I got multiple solutions without it.) It is supposed to be a guy with a beard.
#5: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 19, 2019 [SPOILER]
Bob Vila?

It was a comedy.

Oh! I don't think I ever watched it.

Great puzzle, Norma. I'd never watched that, but I took a look here and enjoyed some chuckles.

"If the girls don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 19, 2019
Right on, Joe.

I loved his show. It was just clean, fun, good humor.
#11: Mike Ross (Mikey223) on Apr 19, 2019
Red Green and his duct tape, of course! Dunno how come I missed that one!
#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 19, 2019
I wonder how many cases of duct tape his show went through.
#13: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Apr 20, 2019 [SPOILER]
Yes! I remember the Red Green show. I was fascinated by the constant sound of chainsaws in the background. Did anyone else notice that?
#14: Belita (belita) on Apr 20, 2019 [SPOILER]
He needs one red suspender and one green one.
When I saw the puzzle title I thought it meant you were leaving this community, Norma. I'm glad I was wrong about that.
#15: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 20, 2019
Thank you so much, Belita

I should have taken more time with this and made it a little larger so it would be clearer. Nice catch on the red and green suspenders.
#16: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Apr 21, 2019 [SPOILER]
I considered Red Green, but without the red and green suspenders I discarded that notion. He has never ever been my cup of tea, but it was a fun puzzle anyway, Norma!

:)
#18: Aldege Cholette (Aldege) on Apr 21, 2019 [SPOILER]
It was another example of great Canadian comedy. Steve and the Red Green show will be missed.
#19: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 21, 2019
Right, Aldege. I often wonder how many cases of duct tape they went through.
#20: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Apr 22, 2019
Some of his projects took a lot of tape, like when he made a Hummer by duct taping two K-cars together.
#21: Rich Garrard (KCRich) on Apr 22, 2019 [SPOILER]
was fun when the Charlie Farquarson from Hee Haw appeared on the show. and remember to keep your head up and your stick on the ice.
#22: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Apr 24, 2019
I like when they recite together:
I'm a man.
And I can change.
If I have to.
I guess.
#23: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Apr 24, 2019
(accidental double post)
