Puzzle Description:

Sorry I could only afford one.

#1: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Apr 17, 2019 [HINT]

I solved from the bottom, so it was fun to watch the image grow!

One tiny bit of lookahead in the upper right

Excellent
#3: Kathy Cain (kathycain) on Apr 17, 2019
Thank you, Kristen. It's so lovely and dainty.

I solved the same way as BT. Really fun solve, and lovely image. (✬‿✬)
#5: Aldege Cholette (Aldege) on Apr 18, 2019
Wonderful image Kristen.
#6: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Apr 18, 2019 [SPOILER]
ditto everyone..the leaves look remarkably accurate! And we got thorn-free... ;)
#7: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 18, 2019 [SPOILER]
There are two schools of thought, here. One is that the thorns are generally removed on long-stem roses. The other is that the thorns would have to be comically huge at this scale. :)

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.
#9: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Apr 18, 2019 [HINT]
This uses the same logic as smile logic. However, instead of the two ends going in the same direction, they go in opposite directions.

This is also a clear example showing that smile logic is an extension of edge logic. If the 11 in c17 were to all the way up it would leave no room for the 1 in c13. If it were to go all the way down it would leave no room for the 1 in c19.

Don't worry about the lack of thorns, Kristen. <pedantry>Roses don't have 'em. They have prickles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorns,_spines,_and_prickles#Prickles </pedantry>

Don't be sorry you could only afford one. I think one is very romantic.
#12: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Apr 19, 2019 [SPOILER]
Lovely. This could have been titled "are red" as a precursor to "are blue"
#13: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Apr 19, 2019
There was an "...Are Red" https://webpbn.com/play.cgi?id=32356
#14: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Apr 19, 2019
Mobile platforms' controls are terrible.
#15: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 19, 2019
Besides, this one isn't even red. :)
