Okay, I kind of see it now. It was that thing in the bottom-left corner that was throwing me off. Is it supposed to be a tongue, sticking out of the beak? It's confusing me!

It's the turkey's wattle.

Only the most identifiable bit of a turkey's face! :)

Why is there no bowling pun here? Maybe cause it's just too hard to get a turkey. (Although I've done it before!)

I leaned something new! I haven't bowled in quite some time, and none of us were ever good enough to get three strikes in a row!

Not for nothing, there is also apparently a "sport" called Turkey Bowling, which uses a frozen turkey as the ball.

Kristen, I don't even want to know what you're supposed to hold on to before you throw the frozen turkey, but I don't think I want to know. What is a gutter ball in that game called? A gizzard? Maybe it's a (pause for effect) BUTTERBALL.

Oh I did like that solve! It took me a minute to see the image, but when I did see it, I had to laugh. Great puzzle, Kurt.

The photo that I saw had the turkey still in its packaging, straight from the grocer's freezer.
