What's chasing the "skipper"?
#3: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 6, 2018 [SPOILER]
The movement lines should be more bouncy. ;)

When you've got to go (to the loo), you've got to go and sometimes in so much of a hurry you have to skip.
#5: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 6, 2018
Good point, John!

Skipping never really took off as an aerobic activity. It is really quite vigorous. Swinging arms, fast, bouncy. I foresee skipping as the next great exercise craze. Special shoes and clothing. Skipping clubs. Skip weights. Skip the mall. Slogans like "Wanna skip lunch?", "To m' Lou or bust", "Just Skip It"

lol

The 'speed lines' make that guy look like he's skipping town!

This was really fun for such a tiny puzzle.
#10: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 7, 2018
It certainly is good exercise! Nowadays, if I skip just a few yards, I'm winded.
#11: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 7, 2018 [SPOILER]
Is this the standard hitch-step skip we all learned as kids, or the full-blown Wizard-of-Oz skip?

That's a Lickety-Split Skip if I ever saw one! Fun solve, Brian.
#13: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 10, 2018
You can cover a surprising amount of ground by skipping (either fashion, though I am partial to The Dorothy)
#14: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Dec 11, 2018 [SPOILER]
Joe, did you really learn to skip as a kid? Because I remember that in fifth grade, our gym teacher forced the boys to skip and the girls found their efforts hilarious. The whole scene had to be demotivating for the boys.

Perhaps a new app to the cell phone can count the number of "skips" you make in a day ")

Terrific little puzzle. Thanks.

I was the youngest of five, three of whom were girls. Yes, I did learn to skip as a young child. And also to read. And math. The advantage of having older sisters who wanted to play teacher.

Moot, my mom said the exact same thing. Back in 1970. It never caught on, but it is great exercise, and you can cover a lot of distance with not a lot of effort. I wonder if an exercise physiologist could tell us what is the most efficient way to travel on foot....?

I thing everyone should walk like this:

Joe, now I know why my three little brothers are so smart. I loved to play teacher.

Norma, that is one of the funniest skits ever. I'll have to show it to my kids, as I don't think they've ever seen it.
