Puzzle Description:

What common phrase does this represent?

#1: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 4, 2018 [HINT]

After Line Logic,

Edge Logic 10 r1 = c6, c19 White
LL

EL 6 c19 places it completely (or it would make a block of one in c18)
LL to finish

One could do just edge logic on the 6 in c19 making r4-6 black and the LL to finish.

ASKED OUT
#4: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Dec 5, 2018 [SPOILER]
Hear me out. Shout out. Out of the question.

Hear me out - came to me about 1/4 thru it, when I saw what looked like the outline of an ear, and part of what might be a U T. Now that I read besmirched, I'm thinking ASKED OUT is closer to the image.
I like these!

Asked out sounds good to me.
#7: Jota (jota) on Dec 5, 2018 [SPOILER]
Can you hear me out?

I like BT's and Brian's answers, though they aren't what I had in mind.

In mine, the order is a little mixed up like Whatzit 10. Three words. The question bubble represents the last two words.
#10: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 6, 2018 [SPOILER]
Out of the question?
#11: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 6, 2018 [SPOILER]
Out of mind?
#12: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Dec 7, 2018 [SPOILER]
Out of ideas?
#13: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 7, 2018 [SPOILER]
The first word is a compound word, part of which is "out".
#14: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Dec 7, 2018 [SPOILER]
Without question?
#15: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 8, 2018 [SPOILER]
What I had in mind was "without a doubt". Yours is certainly close enough without a question.
#16: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 9, 2018
I thought Kristen's guess (out of the question) was pretty good. I was thinking "over and out." Fun puzzle in any case. Thanks, Joe.

I thought: Puzzle it out :)
