Way too clever. I was so busy with the "trees" I did not see the "forest".

Holy cow! That was a bit of a guess-fest at one stage for me, but so rewarding in the end with a great image.

I tried sooo hard to stick to logic, but I resorted to guessing. Any hints?

Also, good cow, Brian. Keep up the wordplay.

EL C30
EL C27: You can eliminate R18-19 in this column, and determine that due to the 1 clue in R11, R7-10 in C26 must be black.

Not seeing much else to hang my hat on at the moment

No guessing!

el the 10 in c30...LL

iel the 10 in c27...LL

the 4's in c19-21 can go up or down. Whether you start the right side of that group with 2 clue below it or the 3 above, at least part of it has to go up. which makes the group of black you've got r15,c13-15 as part of the "5" clue in r15. Dot r15, c1-10. LL

further look at that block of black in reference to the single "3" clue in c17. You can't use the "2" clue below it lest you contradict c17, so dot it out.

Next comes a row by row series of iel to dot out c's 1-5
in the bottom few rows

Then no matter how you shake it, the 4-2 clues remaining in c19 are in a confined space. place em however you want, you'll trigger the remaining 2 clues in the rows immediately above it....allowing you to dot out the rest of the bottom left rows in c's 1-5. LL solves out.

Nice one, Brian!
