Puzzle Description:

a thirty-second note

#1: Sean O'Brien (bobbysue) on Jul 17, 2008

I'm sure this one's solvable without guessing.
#2: Eric Francis (airdrik) on Jul 17, 2008
Yeah, it is. Pretty easy, too. Nice puzzle, though.
#3: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jul 17, 2008
ditto!
#4: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jul 17, 2008
Yeah, it's just one of those odd ones the helper couldn't figure out. Definitely solvable. Nice small one!
#5: Minnie Fuerstnau (m.fuerstnau) on Jul 17, 2008 [SPOILER]
Took me a bit more than 30 seconds to solve- but nice anyway! Thanks.
#6: Melody Main (ladyliberty3) on Jul 17, 2008
This puzzle was very fun for me. My name is Melody and I frequently sign a music note (usually an 8th note) in lieu of initials.
#7: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Jul 17, 2008
ROFL Minnie; I don't think anyone else got it. I did. :-)
#8: Jane Doe (telly) on Jul 17, 2008
fun and fast :D
#9: m2 (mercymercy) on Jul 18, 2008 [SPOILER]
what happened to the other 31?
#10: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Jul 18, 2008
Nice quick puzzle, thanks :)
#11: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jul 18, 2008
LOL, M2!
#12: Minnie Fuerstnau (m.fuerstnau) on Jul 18, 2008 [SPOILER]
Adam, I appreciate the note. Ha, ha!
#13: Ga Hendrick (GaHendrick) on Jul 18, 2008
I don't know which was more fun ... solving the puzzle or reading these comments. Terrific. Will we hear more melodies?
#14: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Jul 18, 2008
Definitely the comments, right???
#15: Jane Doe (telly) on Jul 18, 2008
lol M2 :-)
#16: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Jul 19, 2008
Not trying to pick at nits, but be careful using "M2." Even though our good friend Judy is the original "M2," responder #6 in fact is named "M"elody "M"ain, *she could also go by M2) so we need to make sure everyone knows who is who, for those who don't know. :-)
#17: m2 (mercymercy) on Jul 19, 2008
Thanks for clarifying
#18: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jul 21, 2008
but M2 knows who M2 is and Melody Main would probably be a bit confused if we suddenly started calling her M2 without any warning. Some around here like to come up with obscure nicknames (Gypso) and use them even though no one who has not read the post they originated on would know what they meant. She calls me BG a lot, for instance, because it's short for Boar Goddess and Arduinna is the Boar Goddess.

By the way, Melody Main, if you check these comments, I just noticed your log in, and I have to ask, are you a fan of the Statue of Liberty or of The Tick? Because if it's The Tick, you rock!

Very neat puzzle.
#20: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Feb 8, 2011
fun to do

The rare and elusive hemidemisemiquaver! Wait, that's a 64th note. This is just a demisemiquaver.
#22: Susan (Susan) on Jul 28, 2017 [SPOILER]
Didn't know there was such a thing! Would take some skill to play (musically, I mean, not the puzzle, which was pretty straightforward.)

technically it wouldn't be a "fast one" unless the tempo dictated it. It all depends on how it's written.
