Thank you for the dedication; I'm flattered, but not sure of the connection to the subject of the puzzle (unless of course you somehow knew that I worked at a KFC for 3 weeks back in 1976!)#4: sanane samanye (maceraseven) on Nov 20, 2017
Subject is, of course, unrelated. Lets puzzle for puzzling's sake.#5: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Nov 21, 2017
Puzzle on! And thanks again for your creativity :)#6: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Nov 21, 2017

Good likeness. In the late 1970's and early 1980's the colonel was retired and lived on the same street in Mississauga Ontario as a person I was working with. That same co-worker was one the the nearly quarter million people evacuated because of a train derailment (that was the larest peacetime evacuation in North America at the time, was retained that dubious distinction until the evacuation of New Orleans for hurricane Katrina. My room-mate from university had just moved to Califiornia and was astounded to hear Mississauga headlining the news there for many days.#8: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Nov 22, 2017 [SPOILER]

C45: Regardless which way the remaining 2 clue goes, it starts a 6 clue in either R33 or R35. The other one of those starts the 6 clue in C42, extending that row out to C37. This means there is definitely black in C39 between R33-37, so the blacks in R30-31 C39 must be the 2 clue. Lots of LL.#11: Julio Parra (Julio Parra) on Nov 3, 2019
C15: Regardless of which way the remaining 2 clue goes, there is a black in either R9 or R11 in C16. This means the remaining open squares on this column are white. LL.
C15 again: Either way the 2 clue goes, R8 C17 is white.
LL solves from there.
Great puzzle!
Puzzle difÃcil.
