Use edge logic on all the rows and columns with "8" clues.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by gator.

Simple EL on the 8s. LL.

Look at how the green 4 clue in R12 affects the two 2 clues in R10. If the 4 clue goes in C4-7, then there will be no way to place the two 2s. Same thing happens for C8-11. So R12C4 and R12C11 cannot be green. LL. Smile logic to finish up the green. LL.

Looking at C16-17: if you place a 2 clue in R2, R3, R4, R11, R12, or R13, then R7-8C16-17 will be dots and this will make C13 invalid. So all of those places in C16-17 on R2-4 and R11-13 are dots. LL to finish.

Good one, Carol. The solve was great fun, as well as the rebus. :-)
