I miss hiking - my loss of depth perception (AMD blindness in one eye) keeps me off the rocky trails. But I can still "hike" the paved road in Sabino Canyon.

Thanks Al and Teresa! I am 3 1/2 years out of chemo and my body still likes to do its own thing, but I need to take command and work on core strengthening. I have always enjoyed hiking and after a slow workout at home this winter hopefully I will be ready to do some hiking. My husband always carried the babes up the hills (except for when they were still living inside me, haha). I just enjoy the scenery and the adventure and the meeting of different folks.

Congratulations on 3 1/2 great years! I appreciate the scenery from a car window. I am highly allergic to all tree and grass pollens. Really a great image!!!

Ellen is a girl's name. It does sound a bit like Allen, which is a boy's name. :)

Yes Genuine, it is a girl's name. It is the English version of the name Helen in many other cultures. It actually has been carried down for generations from my Irish ancestors. Thanks for the correction, Kristen!

Thomas lives in Hungary. He sometimes needs a little extra help with the idiosyncrasies of English. :)
