Humpty Dumpty...uh oh, he's about to fall. I decided to change the top half because it was just too hard to solve.

I like this puzzle a lot! But I did have trouble with the little "motion lines". Thanks for a nice new series!#2: Jane Doe (telly) on Jun 13, 2008
I've changed it since your comments Minnie...now I hope there won't be any trouble solving it. I didn't have a problem.#3: Rea Aksglæde Karlsen (Rea) on Jun 13, 2008 [SPOILER]
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.
I like it had to use all types of logic on it.#4: Deana L (ffswife) on Jun 13, 2008
And this one I know:
Humpty Dumty sad on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
And all the king horses and men couldn't put humpty together again.
think im missing a line? or is it right?

here is the true Humpty Dumpty verse:#7: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jun 13, 2008
In Sixteen Hundred and Forty-Eight
When England suffered the pains of state
The Roundheads lay siege to Colchester town
Where the King's men still fought for the crown
There One-Eyed Thompson stood on the wall
A gunner of deadliest aim of all
From St. Mary's Tower his cannon he fired
Humpty-Dumpty was its name...
Another version has it:
In Sixteen Hundred and Forty-Eight
When England suffered the pains of state
The Roundheads lay siege to Colchester town
Where the King's men still fought for the crown
Then One-Eyed Thompson stood on the wall
A gunner of deadliest aim
The cannon he fired from the top of the tower
Humpty-Dumpty was its name...
forgot to add...#8: Jen (lightvader) on Jun 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
So now why do we call this a Nursery Rhyme??
And I always thought it was about an egg...#9: Beth (Shasta) on Jun 14, 2008
And I thought he fell off the wall because he was round!#10: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Jun 14, 2008

Thank you! :)
I hadn't heard that version Naneki. Where did you find that?
Rea, I remember the rhyme the way you wrote it.
Another fun puzzle, I love these too, thankyou :)#13: Jan Young (haidapup) on Jul 19, 2008
I liked the old way you had it but this is good too.#14: Edith Clark (eclark) on Aug 9, 2011
I'm glad you changed it. It's an awesome likeness. I usually don't do puzzles this big but found a small Humpty with a reference to this one so thought I'd try it. It took me awhile but I didn't guess and finally got it. Harris Harris has the right last line, although I think some books leave out the work "back." I knew it referenced a political event in England but hadn't heard the other quoted verses, so thanks for sharing. Did you know many Nursery Rhymes are basked on political events? How did they become rhymes for kids?#15: Jane Doe (telly) on Aug 27, 2011
Thanks Jan and Edith.
I did know that Nursery Rhymes were political in nature. I've heard that many of the words and nursery rhymes lyrics were used to mimic the political (and royal) events of the day. Because direct dissent would be punishable by death they set them to verse and taught them to children.
