Puzzle Description:

bunny reaching for his carrot

#1: Agneta (aggge) on May 12, 2008 [SPOILER]

This is a very cute and funny picture. Thanks! :o)
I especially like the confidence with which that tiny bunny reaches for the huge carrot.
#2: Adam Nielson (monkey) on May 12, 2008
Thanks for another unsolvable puzzle. :-)
#3: Jen (lightvader) on May 12, 2008
I solved it just fine. From what I can tell it's the first version too.

I liked it!

I think Adam needs to go for the easier puzzles
#6: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on May 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
Loved this puzz, just a bit of a challenge, and that's what makes it a good puzzle, thanks :) Cute picture too!

writers remorse setting in...sorry for comment #5

I also got stuck at one point but when I found the magic square then the rest filled in pretty easily.
#9: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 14, 2008 [HINT]
Adam might try solving this one color at a time. First solve just the blue, then the green, then the red, then the black. (I don't think the order actually matters much, but that's easiest to hardest.) When solving the green, notice that there are only nine columns with green in them, and at least one row has so much green it needs all nine columns.

That's the way I did it, too.

Since I read the Advanced Puzzle Solving Techniques in FAQ I have been breezing through the puzzles! I had used every one of those techniques at one time or another, but just seeing them written down like that jelled everything into place.

Try it, Adam. I know what you're saying by "unsolvable"...but there's other logic to consider than just "line solving", edge logic and color logic. I personally dislike puzzles that are considered "solvable" but make you reach out 20 or 30 steps ahead. This puzzle, as well as most, isn't like that, however.

Thank you, Harris for a nice little challenge.

I followed Jan's method also. I get a strange sense of joy when I eliminate a color from the palate. Thanks for a fun and cute puzzle.
#13: Jane Doe (telly) on Jun 9, 2008 [SPOILER]
I had a hard time with the black areas. Edge logic didn't help after doing the feet. The red, blue, and green parts were easy...so what's the trick? What other logic can you do? My guessing helped, that's how I finished it...I think that's what Adam meant by unsolvable.
BTW that's one award winningly huge carrot!
#14: Sunset Smiley (sunsetsmiley) on Jul 16, 2008 [SPOILER]
I got the carrot right off, but I had to erase the bunny like 5 times before I could get him. Great puzzle. Thanks.

Indeed a humongous carrot or a tiny rabbit.
#16: Byrdie (byrdie) on Aug 1, 2009 [HINT]
I solved using color logic as in #9 and then mostly line logic for the black. It solved straight away for me without too much effort. Interesting little puzzle.
#17: bexie (becinaus) on Aug 14, 2009 [SPOILER]
i liked this puzzle it was fun to solve - i would also like to know in which country do carrots grow the same size as rabbits or rabbits the same size as carrots - but i do love it.
#18: Alison P Deem (Indigo1) on May 11, 2013 [SPOILER]
I see the bunny and carrot...cute! But I also see the Pillsbury Dough Boy running from a vegetable :)
#19: Philippa Sawle (Pippa73) on Aug 14, 2013
I also had no issues with the carrot, finished in approximately 15 minutes. The bunny however was a different story, it took me three attempts before I realised which one square was giving me difficulty. Loved it though as I like the ones that make you almost pull your hair out!!
