I'm guessing Rhode Island.

Found to be solvable by line and color logic alone by blurglecruncheon.

My guess too. I originally thought Maine because of the shape, but then the water would be off to the east.

Just to check, there aren't too many states that have water to the south.

The island (heh) to the south checks out as well. Perhaps the white in the lower left is Montauk as well.

Google tells me the green island is called New Shoreham, which I didn't know before.

Found to have a unique solution by valerie.

Providence is a lovely city. You must check out Waterfire if you're ever in town.
