Trickier than I thought- thanks for the fun!

I really struggled with this one-I think I need stronger coffee before I do these tricky ones. great puzzle-looks great from a distance. Thanks
#3: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on May 13, 2008
I struggled with this one too, but in the end I killed it without cheating...whew! I have renewed appreciation for "revert" lol
#4: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 13, 2008
A very challenging puzzle. I think if it had been by anyone else, I might have given it up as unsolvable, but I know Marcus wouldn't slip us a ringer and I found my way through. Great fun.
#5: Adam Nielson (monkey) on May 13, 2008
Still too difficult. Nice image.
#6: Meg Tayler (rebelcat) on May 13, 2008
Very tricky! I *really* enjoyed solving this one. I like these tiny-but-challenging puzzles - they make me think, but not TOO hard.

So, can any of you brilliant minds drop a hint? I refuse to guess if I know it's possible to solve without guessing, and this one is torturing me. I dreamt about it last night! I have all the color and some random black, but I'm stuck. I can't even make any edge logic work for me.
#9: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 14, 2008 [HINT]
I think there were several tricky spots. The one I remember is using edge logic to see which placements of the three in column 2 would contradict all those 1's in column 4.
#10: Arduinna (arduinna) on May 14, 2008 [HINT]
Thanks Jan! That did it! It didn't occur to me to check column 4 against column 3 because I didn't have column 2 solved yet.

Well, now I can get a good night's sleep! ;)
#11: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on May 15, 2008
thank you for the challenge :)
#12: Debra Greene (dlegreen) on May 19, 2008
Great challenge and interesting picture - thanks!

Excellent puzzle Marcus! I've been working on this one for awhile. If it weren't for the fact that it was yours, I would have given up long ago.

Thanks for the satisfaction! ^>^

I think this one might be my favorite so far. I solved it with logic alone, but it was tough. Thanks, Marcus.
#15: Bionerd (nieboo) on Dec 16, 2008
Very hard. Thanks

Surely, you Jest!
#20: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jun 2, 2016
Very hard. Didn't identify it until I read the blurb and then it was very clear.
#21: derby (Derby) on Jun 4, 2016
I agree with the comments. For the size, it was very challenging. When I run out of moves, I will often guess and can usually predict the lines, but this one I found very unpredictable. So congrats on a challenging puzzle, that I had to restart 3 times, but loved every minute of it.
