Rudolf, with his red nose, too much Christmas spirit I think!

My appologies to the people who solved this puzzle previously, I accidently published it before I had checked it properly, I couldn't even solve it with logic myself :)

Well, it's solvable now, though still challenging, and a fun picture. Thanks.

Yes, I know it is a bit out of season, lol, but at the time of it's creation it was a very cold day here plus I had a head cold too, so I felt a bit like Rudolf :)

How weird is it watching Christmas specials like Rudolph in the summertime? Do you guys have your own Christmas specials in which Santa delivers all the toys while wearing shorts, then hits the beach right afterward?

No, we still think, well some of us here in Australia, when the weather is so freaking hot and muggy, that santa comes to us in his thermal underwear along with the outer garments of course, weird! Most of us don't even have chimneys, most just have an airconditioning duct. We still try to cook up the traditional English roast and pudding, crazy! We are slowly coming to terms with our climate and seasons, but I think we are still a bit envious that we don't get cold and snow at Christmas, swapping a sled for a surfboard is a bit of a transition for some, but I can see the new generations embracing summer Christmas's with ease, European tradition dying out. Anglo Saxon Australia has only been about for just over 200 years, but we are fast learners, sort of, and with every year that passes I see less of the mince pies and roast turkey, and more of the t-shirt clad, boardshort wearing santa with a kangaroo led sleigh, families spending the day at the beach and having a bbq outdoors with ice cream for dessert. So soon enough we will be seeing the specials you mentioned above Arduinna, we do have an Australian summer christmas song that they teach the kids at school, very cute and funny, but realistic too, something about santa delivering presents in the back of a Holden Ute, an Aussie icon work vehicle :)

I spent Christmas in the Bahamas once, and it was pretty weird. There was a Nativity set up on the beach with palm leaves for decoration. And everywhere we went, they were playing Christmas songs with an island twist. "I'm dreaming of a bright Christmas," with steel drums in the background.

I think I've told this story here before. I'm becoming my mother, telling the same stories over and over...

So you ARE an Aussie, Marie-Louise!

Lol...I thought so with your "coot" comment on another puzzle. I almost asked you then if you were, but I didn't want to venture that question, being fairly new to this site.

I spent two Christmas' down in Brazil (or Brasil as they spell it). It was hard for me to realize it was Christmas because there was no snow or cold weather like I'm used to. So Christmas in May isn't too far off from what it felt like there. :)

I think he's cute!

I swear at first I though it was a butterfly (top part), then a cow smoking a red pipe and finally a few pixels before the end, I saw Rudolf. 3.5 days in the city and already going crazy.

Wonderful! And quite a challenge too!

A really late comment: Many, many, MANY years ago when I sang with the McGill Choral Society we presented an annual Christmas concert, and one year we sang a set of four Australian Christmas carols, with words all about green grass and birds in the trees. Our concerts were recorded and I still have the albums as well as the recordings transferred decades later to CD. The songs were "The Silver Stars are in the Sky," "Christmas Day," "The Day that Christ was Born On," and "Sing Gloria." I loved them then, and I think I'll have a listen now. It's summer here, so the season is just right.
