I hope that's not a teddy bear lying in a pool of it's own blood
#4: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Feb 26, 2025
I can't tell if it is... but I also can't tell if it's not.

Hm. The triangle in rows 6-9 looks like it's the hair of a guy facing toward our left. Row 8 column 15 is his eye, row 10 column 15 is his beard or mouth, and row 19 column 19 is the corner of his elbow, with his forearm extending from there to the center bottom of the puzzle. Maybe he is facing a three-tiered cake, with a candle in the top. Except instead of a candle flame it sort of extends upward toward a mountain in the background.

Joe and Yonah -- Where is there a teddy bear in a pool of blood? I see a pool, but not a bear.

I wish Al was here to tell us what we are looking at!

ChatGPT was of no help:

"Looking at the enhanced grayscale image, the structure suggests a figure with some curved and rounded areas, possibly resembling an animal or a character. The contrast areas hint at facial features, ears, or limbs. My best guess is that this could depict a dog, cat, or even a panda due to the distinct black-and-white pattern."

Valerie, I saw it like this at first

Oh! In #5 I was wishing for Aldege to tell us what we are looking at, but I called him Al -- as in short for Aldege, and Al looks the same as AI, and Yonah, you looked it up with AI. Clever!

Joe - Thanks! I can maybe sort of see that. Mostly, without its text it's just a baffling image, though.

Ha! :D

According to ChatGPT here is the comment I should add:

“The image is evolving in real time based on suggestion like a visual Ouija board.”

Actually, looking at this with fresh eyes today, it's so obvious now.

A person, on the right, sitting on the floor, facing left, legs and arms extended out in front of them towards a bucket/pot/cauldron that's hanging above a pit, the bucket/pot/cauldron being suspended by a chain attached to its handle, with a pulley overhead.
#12: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on May 6, 2026
That's what I thought it was at first, but then I thought, "Wait no, this is an Aldege puzzle. That explanation is much too [straight-forward/sensible/tame]."

How about a person inside a tent typing on a desktop that sits on a round table, with a light overhead? Hooking the up the desktop in a tent will undoubtedly require extension cords, which will explain any additional lines.

What some people won't do to play an extra WPBN puzzle!
#14: Valerie Mates (valerie) on May 6, 2026
That works. I like it!

Better than mine! I was trying to figure out what was on top of the toilet plunger sitting on a hat ;)
