High on a hill was a lonely goatherd
Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo
Loud was the voice of the lonely goatherd
Lay ee odl lay ee odl-oo

From The Sound of Music.

The anagram for "Al LaPointe consists of two words.

pal elation or alp elation?
I would be elated if a pal brought me tea and cake for a break from work.

Alp Elation would be one good answer, Phyllis. There is another one that would fit as well. It would be related to the next line of the song:

I yodeled back to the lonely goatherd.
Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo

Can you guess the anagram that applies to the lass?
