What a beautiful butterfly.

Hmmm..I don't find them scary at all although I am not that big of a fan of bugs in general. Thanks for the early morning burst of color!

A very odd butterfly, with only one pair of wings.

It's an interesting one to solve though, there are two points where some less common logic tricks are needed. It actually makes a nice example of how those work.

The first one is a variation on "smile" logic. The classic "smile" is this:

        1 1 1 1
 1 1 X . . X
    2 . X X .
This little puzzle isn't solvable by line logic, but it's nevertheless plain what the solution has to be. We get a variation of that pattern in this puzzle, but with 22's instead of ones across the top.

The other one is even less common, but still a useful one. We run across a situation kind of like this:

              2 2 2
                . . . a
                . . . b
                . . . c
      2 2 . . d
      2 2 . X X . e
  1 5 5 1 X . f
                . . . g
                . . . h
                . . . i

              A B
Here I've omitted the clues from rows/columns that aren't interesting, and I've added letters to label the rows/columns. The interesting pattern here is the 2 in column B. It can be in two positions, either in rows 'de' or rows 'ef'. That means that in column A either cell 'd' or cell 'f' must be set, so the 2 in that column must either be at 'cd' or 'fg'. That means all other cells in column A can be dotted.

Very pretty :)

Ditto comment #2. the butterfly stroke scares me, but not the insect. :D

I don't like the butterfly stroke much either...the only worse one for me is the backstroke. I have an issue not being able to see where I'm going.

Yeah, I've hit my head a few times. lol

The puzzle was very predictable and pretty.

Antenna logic at the end :)
