Puzzle Description:

Joel (or Mike!), Crow, and Tom Servo suffering through a bad monster movie.

#1: Arduinna (arduinna) on Mar 28, 2008 [HINT] [SPOILER]

This one is a little uneven. Very easy at the beginning and a bit tricky at the end. But if you use edge logic in the upper left hand corner, you should be able to puzzle out the ending fairly easily.

Want to know a good way to start a fight among die-hard MSTies?

I think Mike is funnier.

ooh, those are fighting words!

Nice puzzle.

And I suppose you prefer Shemp to Curly? (Don't even think about CurlyJoe -- he was only there to make us appreciate the subtle genius of Shemp.)

Too funny..I can't believe I used to sit & watch those shows
thank you for a good B&W puzzle :)

Quite a challenge but I knew that I could count on you for a hint. :D

Nice image! Thank you.

LOL, JC! I actually found MST3K during the Mike era and have only seen Joel on DVD, so I've just always preferred Mike. I like his sarcasm better than Joel's interacting-with-the-screen stuff. But I do love Joel too! I was reading that the topic of Joel v. Mike was banned from many MST3K chat rooms because people got so angry and took it so personally!

Ouch! I spent a lot of time making this one solvable by logic. I had a much better picture of the monster, one that did not look in any way like a sock puppet, but I tweaked it to make edge logic work on it.

Ok guys, if you solved this by logic but didn't rate it, then you should rate it for me. How does this work anyway? Do a certain percentage of the raters have to say it's solvable to keep the ? away?
#8: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Apr 1, 2008
I'm not good at rating "solved by logic alone" 'cause my mind works differently than most ;)..I can say logic where others say it needs guessing
#9: Gypso (Gypso) on Apr 1, 2008
I think Arduinna, if there is any question as to a definitive logical solution, that Jan is the final arbiter.
#10: Arduinna (arduinna) on Apr 4, 2008
Some of them seem to go back and forth though...
#11: Gypso (Gypso) on Apr 4, 2008
Maybe he hasn't gotten to them yet? My best guess, btw. :)
#12: Jan Wolter (jan) on Apr 13, 2008
It's a majority vote unless either (1) the checker was able to determine that the puzzle was logically solvable, or (2) I get around to solving it and am able to make up my mind about whether or not it is solvable. The latter just happened. I agree that this is solvable, but hard near the end.

Thanks again, Jan!

If they are "suffering" through a "bad" monster movie, then why is he giving the "thumbs up" sign? Nice image. Difficult in the left upper corner.
#15: Arduinna (arduinna) on May 16, 2008 [SPOILER]
He's pointing. (Which clearly idicates it's Joel and not Mike!)
#16: Jota (jota) on Sep 20, 2010 [SPOILER]
OMG I just found this puzzle and had no idea what you guys were talking about and had to "google" it. In the intro to the program I saw this exact image. Way funny.
