Ah! Bambi.#4: Wombat (wombatilim) on Dec 5, 2022 [HINT]
EL on the left eliminates R14-15 for the 7 clue.#5: Wombat (wombatilim) on Mar 30, 2023 [HINT]
R23: If the 9 clue goes to the right of C36, it causes a contradiction in R22, so R23 C37-39 are white.
C9: Whichever way the 3 clue goes, R14C10 is black. This yields minimal LL so I'm not sure how helpful it is.
C42: Wherever the 1 goes, R24C40 is white. Again, not sure how helpful this is.
R8C35 can't be black or it causes a contradiction in C34. Not sure how helpful this one is either.
Stuck here for now, may pick this up later.
Just noticed a tricky LL at R5C11, not sure when that came available. Another one at R4C12.#6: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Mar 30, 2023
C9: Whether the 3 goes into R13 or R16, R13C10 is black. Minimal LL.
R6: If the 2nd 3 goes into C11, it places the 3 in R2 into C11-13, which makes R5C12 black. If the 2nd 3 in R6 goes into C14 instead, R5C14 is black. Either way, R5C14 is black. Minimal LL.
C11: EL marks R20 white.
Deep lookahead C37: If the 4 goes to R21, it puts the 2 in C38 into R19-20. R21C40 is black, then R2342, which makes R22C41 black, then R20C39. This makes the 6 in C36 invalid, so the 4 in C37 must go to R17 instead. LL, including quite a few spots the hint button doesn't catch, so take care.
R2: If the 3 is placed in C12-14, it makes R1 invalid, so these squares are white. LL.
R22: If the black in C21 is part of the 3, it places the 1s in C14 and C16. This would make R20-21 C15 both black, which is invalid. Therefore the 3 in R22 must go into C30-32. LL.
Smile logic to finish.
