This is my favorite flag. I like the blue and white and have always been intrigued by the Star of David. I just love the geometry of it.#3: Jan Wolter (jan) on Apr 10, 2008
But the puzzle has multiple solutions, which makes it a pretty sorry puzzle.#4: Adam Nielson (monkey) on May 16, 2008
Not to mention, impossible to solve and less fun when massive guessing is involved. Nice image though.#5: Jan Wolter (jan) on Nov 10, 2009
This puzzle is one of the ones that I used as a sample puzzle in my Survey of Paint-by-Number Puzzle Solvers as an example of a puzzle with multiple solutions. There puzzle is amazingly easy for some solvers, and amazingly hard for others, making it very interesting from a programmer's point of view.#6: Byrdie (byrdie) on Aug 12, 2020 [HINT]I wonder if Harris would be willing to give permission to allow this puzzle to be freely redistributed as part of a standard test set for developers of new solving programs.

I recognized what the country would be from the parts that were LL solvable and used "Star of David logic" to finish. Yup, technically guessing.
