this solves with mod look-ahead, btw...

you can el both 3's in r8, along with the 4's in c's4 and 16. a little smile logic to finish the lower part of the blue

No clue, but cute puzzle.

Thank you, Norma.
Kurt, your clue is that it is your favorite band - hence that is why the puzzle is for you.

well, then it's photogragh! (written about marilyn monroe, believe it or not)

you know what silly song came to mind originally? Spoonman(All my friends are brown and red..), even though they're blue and green lol

You've done it. I wish I could have made something that looked like a better photograph! Well done, Kurt!

I was thinking Everyday People because I'm sure somewhere in the song there's a green one that doesn't like the blue one or something like that.
#9: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Jun 18, 2014 [SPOILER]
I was thinking Kodachrome (Paul Simon), because of the "nice bright colours".

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by blurglecruncheon.

I actually found everything worked with line logic except the lower left blue bit.

Not intended to show Kurt's original solution up, just to check off and verify line logic doesn't work all the way...

Blue and black "eyes" in row 11
Top vertical 2's get filled in
vertical 4's get filled in

This isn't quite symmetrical as green is filled in easily (vertical 1-2's). Then R15C7 is blue.

Now if R17C6 is blue, that leaves no space for the 1's in C5, and LL takes care of the rest.
