Whichever one tries to lift half the dumbbell alone is wrong. Join the halves and two wrongs makes a right.

I'm with John on this one,and now a days how can we be sure the one on the right is a woman. How many women do you see wearing a skirt anymore? Not enough for me,and the one on the right could be a man wearing a kilt.:)

Re comment #5 -- The old tv show Candid Camera had a segment showing two doors side by side in a hallway. The one on the left was marked "women" with an arrow under it pointing to the other door on the right. The door on the right was marked "men" with an arrow under it pointing to the left. Watching the men and women trying to decide which was the right door to go through was hilarious. (As were most of the Candid Camera segments). But, I digress -- nice puzzle, Norma.

Thank you, Susan. Candid Camera was a lot of fun.

Here I am, stuck in the middle with you...
#20: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Sep 6, 2018
So, Kirsten, that makes the men jokers and the women clowns. I'll stick to the middle with you, thanks.

It reminds me of the square dance call to "Bully of the Town" -- "Ladies go gee and the gents go haw."

:)

That call was not just for a specific dance - it was a standard call in traditional square dances. Lots of dances would have the active couple cross the set, split the opposite couple, and then return separately around the outside of the set. If they return on the same side they started, the call is "ladies go gee and men go haw", but if they are to cross paths and return on the side their partner started it is "ladies go haw and men go gee". Gee and haw were used as commands when driving a horse team to tell the horses to go right or left without having to use the reins.

According to the vet shows I watch, male ear tags go in the left ear because females are always right.
