I consider it a flaw when a puzzle requires guessing and/or does not have a unique solution. This is a cute image, but the part that needs guessing could be easily eliminated or changed to be unique and solvable. That said, at least I guessed right on the first try.

Paula, I bow to your solving expertise. :) I tried guessing the left and right edges without success. I finally peeked at the solution.

This puzzle was difficult to rate. The bulk of it (37x50 in the center) is completely solvable by logic. The parts that I had to guess are the left and right edges. Specifically columns 2 thru 7 on the left and columns 45 thru 49 on the right. I hope that I counted that correctly. The finished design on both sides are evenly spaced and very pretty but could only be completed by massive guessing (unless you're as bright as Paula :)) or by peeking at the solution as I did.
So, I rated it as "solvable with some guessing" because the bulk was logically solvable.

Luna I really enjoyed the center design. Very nice image. The edging is very pretty but was impossible for me to complete without guessing. I think that you could easily make it solvable by adding just a few blue squares to the design. Using single squares can often lead to a puzzle that can't be solved. Maybe if you turned the blue/blank/blue sections into 3 blue instead?

What a clever solution Luna! I'm so glad that you didn't change the lovely center design. The new edge pieces are very pretty.
