Puzzle Description:

This is a revisit to puzzle 229. See my comment.

What gave puzzle #229 (originally created by Chad Dingledorff; this was guitarkid's final submission) a big red question mark was the fishing line, which has single 1s and even 2s that could all be interchanged for each other in the top three rows, giving it nothing even close to a unique solution. I've simply moved the fisher (likely in a boat, so moving the boat); he or she now fishes from the right, resulting in a much smaller and non-spliced line to the hook.

Speaking of the hook, I changed one red square to be black. To make my fish unique, I also made a change to the fin by removing the separate red and colouring the inside of the black fin with that red. It still solves without being coloured in.

Nice! I gave this treatment to one of Aldège's puzzles, because it was such a nice image, but unsolvable.

Kurt did it to one of mine too,and I was totally cool with it.It's an honour when someone thinks your puzzle is good enough to spend the time to make it solvable.:)
