#5: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Oct 31, 2013
wow...I thought it was pretty easy to see. but then again, I made it and knew what I was supposed to see. failed technique, won't be trying that again....

squint or move back from the screen and see if you can matrix a face from the jumble of white and black space

Frankenstein, huh! Everything but, I'm afraid.
#11: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 31, 2013
My wife couldn't see it from 7ft away, but I saw it right away from up close and I think it's a fabulous image Kurt. Your technique is just fine and in a 20x20 it's amazing. I give it a 5 for quality. Happy Halloween pal.:)
#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Oct 31, 2013
People perceive things differently in a way they can't control, so some will be able to see this and others won't.
#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 31, 2013
I agree Norma,I just think it's funny that I could make it out cause I usually have a hard time seeing a lot of images until someone says what it is.:)
#14: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 31, 2013
I saw it right away, well into the solve. without a doubt I think you put more personality and expression into these little puzzles than I have ever seen on this site. smh. happy Halloween.
#15: Sara Wilson (janelarson) on Oct 31, 2013 [SPOILER]
Good puzzle! However, I think it's "Frankenstein's monster", not "Frankenstein" who was the nutty doctor.
#16: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Oct 31, 2013
I see it, I see it! It's really neat!
#17: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Oct 31, 2013
Very well done image. It really popped.
#18: annalivia (annalivia) on Nov 1, 2013
aha! epiphany! like Brian said, it really popped! very very cool!

your technique is fine! it's what Norma said in #12.
#19: Ellen Vollor (evollor) on Nov 1, 2013 [SPOILER]
I saw it right off, also, Al. Frankenstein's monster has been my favorite monster (scary thing) since I was a little girl. Loved to watch all those black and whites!
#20: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Nov 1, 2013

#22: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Nov 1, 2013
I only saw it after I read the comments but it is a great puzzle!
#23: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Nov 1, 2013 [SPOILER]
@15 - You'd be right if this was titled "who am I", but since it's titled "what do you suppose I'm called?" and everyone gets it wrong all the time, "Frankenstein" is a perfectly valid answer.
#24: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 1, 2013
lol, Joe ;)
#25: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 1, 2013
From Uncle Wiki:
Nevertheless, the creature soon enough became best known in the popular imagination as "Frankenstein". This usage is sometimes considered erroneous, but usage commentators regard the monster sense of "Frankenstein" as well-established and not an error.
So, I guess, just as "ain't" made it into some dictionaries, as Joe said Frankenstein is now valid.
#26: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Nov 1, 2013 [SPOILER]
...and this Frankenstein ain't bad...
#27: Carol Brand (KarylAnn) on Nov 1, 2013 [SPOILER]
If you added a touch of green, it could also be Herman Munster! Nice one, Kurt!

#31: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 19, 2014
all caught up on that series, I see...lol

It took me a bit of time, too, but it was worth it.

At first I thought it was Rocky the Squirrel with his helmet.

I like having this sort of artistic challenge once the logical one is finished.
#33: CB Paul (cbpaul) on Jun 21, 2021 [SPOILER]
As I was working the puzzle, I kept seeing a football player. Now I see a monster. Not that football players are monsters...no.
Tricky and fun solve.

I was playing with op arts at the time. I think it works though. if not, I'll learn and get better. thanks for the feedback!
