My father-in-law now calls GM "Government Motors." He was impressed that Ford refused to take any bailout money.

They've come a long way since their "Fix Or Replace Daily" and "Found On Road Dead" days.

On October 1, 1908, the first production Model T Ford is completed at the company's Piquette Avenue plant in Detroit. Between 1908 and 1927, Ford would build some 15 million Model T cars. It was the longest production run of any automobile model in history until the Volkswagen Beetle surpassed it in 1972.

Great job on the logo Dave and kudos to Ford. Even though I'm a Dodge guy,I love anything from the big three.:)

On the patrol, while we take good care of our vehicles, we certainly do put them through their paces. In the 80's we had Plymouth Furys/Dodge Diplomats which handled ok but were gutless (nothing like the glory days of the Fury). By the early 90's we were in Crown Vics and stayed with them until Ford ended their production in 2011. The CV was really the perfect combination of outstanding handling, very good performance as well as being roomy and comfortable. We now have about an even mixture of Dodge Chargers and Chevy Tahoes. The Charger has amazing handling and performance but not much room. Surprisingly, the Tahoe has remarkable handling (2 wheel drive) and reasonable performance with GOBS of room. We're just now introducing Ford's Police Interceptors (one build on a Taurus chassis and the other on the Explorer AWD frame) into our fleet.

I was thinking it might be a report card, or maybe entry 3 on the phone.

Well done being much more creative than that!

About that title, that was the exact thing I thought when I saw the title for Puzzle #35291

I had heard that ford stood for:
First On Race Day

I don't have a preference between the big three, but I do recall in the 80's when everyone had cars from the 70's, every V8 Chevy owner had an oil stain on the driveway where their chrome valve covers/oil pan leaked.
