#7: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 16, 2008

#8: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Jan 16, 2008

#14: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Jan 17, 2008

:)
#15: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 17, 2008
Eh, I'm not that bad. I just watched the next generation for the first time recently and I love it.. More for the cheesy 80s feel good tv show than the star trek thing. I love jean luc picard. :)

#16: Twillis (twillis) on Jan 17, 2008
Y'all might find this link amusing; one of my on-line friends has been posting pics in her journal inspired by various Star Trek episodes, mostly Season 7 of the Next Generation.

http://sanspoof.livejournal.com/

(Sylvain might also enjoy her X-men inspired artwork.)
#17: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Jan 17, 2008
Ok Nieboo I must admit that I'm also a nest generation fan so I won't run that fast.

Twillis I love te stuff on the link thanks
#18: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 17, 2008
Haha, I love how no one likes Wesley.

Thanks qwerty, there are many other reasons to run from me. Star Trek is nothing. :)
#19: Maikki (felia) on Jan 18, 2008
That's some quest! Find someone who likes Wesley :DD
#20: Twillis (twillis) on Jan 18, 2008
Poor Wil Wheaton! He has a pretty good blog, by the way: http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/

And his original:

http://www.wilwheaton.net/

He's a pretty funny guy. Did you know he played a homeless man on CSI a few seasons ago? I totally didn't recognize him.
#21: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 18, 2008
My boyfriend hates him because of his hosting of some computer show back when there was tech tv. He says he's really arrogant.

#22: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 18, 2008
LOL Twillis! Boobwindows! I wasn't a Wesley-hater until he came back in his last episode and was a great big jerk.

One thing that does cause ire among my fellow Trek fans-- my favorite is DS9--- Gasp!

Jen I know a really cute guy in Rochester who is such a geek that he writes his own comic books. Unfortunately, he's married.
#23: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 18, 2008
I don't want a married man, they're off limits.
#24: Deana L (ffswife) on Jan 18, 2008
Good answer!
#25: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 18, 2008
OK Jen, my son is 22, a definite sci-fi fan, VERY handsome, very intelligent & just under six feet tall - lives in Nebraska right now, but will possibly be relocating to DC or Virginia..but he is very tender hearted, gets his heart broke easily ..did I mention very handsome :)
but you would have to pass my approval first ..
#26: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 19, 2008
He sounds like a keeper. I just hope I could pass your approval, naneki.
#27: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 19, 2008
I can tell you this He is the BEST son any mother could ask for! When he was a little boy he was nick named Guy Smiley 'cause he smiled so much..as you can tell I love to talk about him :)

#31: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Jan 19, 2008
don't know I'll lets Jen give what she want...:)
#32: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 21, 2008
Yay! I get to be the first happy customer! The only other first I had was passing out in my first aid class!
#33: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 21, 2008
Jen, how did that happen?
PS I need a picture so I can do a puzzle of you!
#34: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 22, 2008
Well, we finished the CPR part of the class and we were looking in the Red Cross First Aid book we had and watching a video demonstrating some stuff. Both were a little graphic and I pass out at the sight of blood. I've actually been pretty good about recognizing the signs and avoiding passing out but this time it just came too quick. I think it was actually the first time I've passed out since I was in first grade.

As for the picture, no picture exists of just me since I was little. I try to avoid being in the picture and prefer to take the picture. I could look and see what I have though.
#35: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 22, 2008
You sound like me, I hate having my picture taken..I look terrible on film. Please do try to find one besides doing a puzzle I'm very curious to see you :) Do you have my email?
#36: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 22, 2008
I always, always, always make stupid faces when someone takes my picture, even when I try not to.

I passed out when I gave blood once.
#37: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 22, 2008
I always make stupid faces in pictures on purpose.
There are plenty out there with my tongue sticking out, apparently that's one of my favorite poses.

#38: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 22, 2008
I have two: tongue out and psycho eyes. Though I rarely do both at the same time. Psycho eyes usually comes with a big teeth-baring psycho smile.
#39: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 22, 2008
Naneki, I don't have your email but I might not get to look for pictures until next weekend. The next few days are going to be quite busy for me.

Arduinna, blood tests are where I learned to recognize the signs for when I'm getting close to passing out. I get kind of hot, things start sounding far away and then lights out.

I have a few funny stories about passing out actually. Most happened when I was little. Apparently, when I get nervous my heart sometimes slows down. At least thats what the tests showed when I was in kindergarten.
#40: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 22, 2008
I'm hypoglycemic, so I found out I really shouldn't give blood. Sometimes my vision goes away almost completely-- I can only see dark blobs. And it sounds like everyone is really far away. Then I can eat a candy bar and I'll snap right out of it.

I'm trying to imagine a funny story about passing out... ;)
#41: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 22, 2008
goodness I guess we will have to keep you calm..
here is my email for when you are ready to send the pictures..naneki757@hotmail.com
I will try to be patience (though not one of my strong points)
thanx :)
#42: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 22, 2008
arduinna that could also be a warning sign for a diabetic attack, have you had that checked?
#43: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 23, 2008
no, but I've heard that hypoglycemia can turn into diabetes. It actually hasn't happened in several years. I try not to miss meals anymore. And I get really crabby and then a bit shaky an hour or two before I pass out, so I always know that that's a sign to eat something!
#44: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 23, 2008
Sorry, I meant the symptoms sound similar to diabetes
#45: Tom La Sota (tomlasota) on Jan 23, 2008
Most women are crabby all the time... well, at least, when they are with me :~
#46: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 23, 2008
And you wonder why? :)
#47: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 23, 2008
OK Tom, you got my curiosity up ..what does your comment pertain to?
#48: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 23, 2008
Here are 2 of the best passing out stories I have:

- My mom sat me up on the counter in the bathroom to clean my earings. She reached to get something from the medicine cabinet and I nearly fell into the sink.

- When I was in first grade I fell off my bike and had to get stitches in my chin. A week later I got the stitches out. My mother was talking to the doctor and I passed out and reopened the cut on my chin. The doctor said if he hadn't seen it for himself he would have called Child Protective Services on my mom.
#49: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 23, 2008
Seems more horrible than funny!

I passed out once in the 7th grade and got to go home. When I came back the next day, someone had started a rumor that I had OD'd on Tylenol.
#50: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 23, 2008
It might have been horrible then but I think it's funny now.
#51: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 28, 2008
Naneki, I sent you an email with a few pictures.
#52: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 28, 2008
thanks.. I got them, I'll try to work with them, though I can't get a clear image of them when I enlarge them. could you look to see if you can find any that are closer? What I can see you are a very pretty girl (woman).. by the way LOVE the email address :)

do you have a myspace or a facebook?
#53: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 28, 2008
Thanks. I will try to find a closer picture for you. No I don't have a myspace or facebook. I never really got into that.
#54: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Jan 28, 2008

#55: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 28, 2008
ahem
#56: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 28, 2008
The spring semester started last week and I have three projects to work on. This is going to be one crazy semester, so I don't have a lot of time to go and create a myspace or facebook page.
#57: Deana L (ffswife) on Jan 28, 2008
I second nieboo's "ahem". ;)
#58: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 28, 2008
Yes neiboo is on Myspace too (I leave her little notes every now & again) & Deana is on googletalk (& facebook)..I get to chat with her there anytime, even if it's just to say hi.

& Sylvain..I miss our little chats(maybe someday soon) :(
#59: Deana L (ffswife) on Jan 29, 2008
(deana's on myspace too... kinda)
#60: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 29, 2008
And I'm on facebook.
#61: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 29, 2008
Deana, how do you mean kinda?
neiboo, how do I find you on facebook?
#62: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 29, 2008
I dunno, my name probably. I'm under Rhode Island (URI) network as well as Rutgers. My name is Nicole with the same last name as my dad's name on here. well without the Tom.
Oh and a capital L and S. with a space between the La.
Hehe. I like to make you work.

#63: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 29, 2008

#64: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 29, 2008

#65: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 29, 2008

Aw, I love geeky guys. But alas, I already hooked one of those.

#69: Jen (lightvader) on May 8, 2008
If I could get a guy with manners I'll be happy. The ones I've dated are all lack respect for women and moral standards and other good qualities like that.
#70: Arduinna (arduinna) on May 8, 2008
Better to be alone than with a guy like that, Jen!
#71: Jen (lightvader) on May 9, 2008
Very true.
#72: Rea Aksglæde Karlsen (Rea) on May 8, 2009
i passed out once in a bus, i think i was around 12, and a man complained to my mother because i landed on his suitcase.
#73: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on May 9, 2009
how rude of him!
#74: Rea Aksglæde Karlsen (Rea) on May 9, 2009
yay it was but now it just makes me roll my eyes and smile some people...
