ah, it's nice to let others have a crack at it too#6: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Mar 24, 2013
I already got one, so I'll leave this for someone else. But I agree with Kurt in #3.#7: Dave Oas (khpdave) on Mar 24, 2013
@3 & 6 There's some states (like my state of Kansas) that cannot be made interesting. I'd be likely to skip over those, Kurt and Norma.#8: Billie Patterson (bpat) on Mar 24, 2013
Baton Rouge, Louisiana#9: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Mar 24, 2013
check out puzzle #20538, Dave. (I attempted to make your state interesting...)#10: Dave Oas (khpdave) on Mar 24, 2013
@8 Ok, Billie what's YOUR vote?#11: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Mar 24, 2013 [SPOILER]

As a cartographer, these are easy for me to answer once I solve them, but I say you can never have too many maps, so go for it, Dave!#13: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Mar 24, 2013
Amerigo Furface, the flautist! lol#14: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Mar 24, 2013
You were right, Kurt. I have NO idea. Oh wait, I was there yesterday.#15: Dave Oas (khpdave) on Mar 24, 2013
Thanks Joel - I guess I will then. Thomas - HONORABLE MENTION!#16: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Mar 24, 2013 [SPOILER]
Just as an FYI, see puzzles # 20281, 20282, 20294... which were part of a series by another creator.#17: Dave Oas (khpdave) on Mar 25, 2013 [SPOILER]
Thanks Adam - I missed all of these for some reason. Craig's creations have much better detail than mine - especially when you compare our Idahos (20294 vs 21435).#18: Dan Tomlinson (themountainman) on May 5, 2017
My idea was to create an easy series of monochrome U.S. state puzzles-with capitals, making them as small as possible (no bigger than 20x), even at the expense of sacrificing some detail.
I was concerned that someone had already done something like this so I searched the word "state" and the state's name and it looked like virgin territory. I decided to put a couple out there in the hope that, if this had already been done, someone (and by someone, I was counting on you) to let me know. I think I'll do a few more (not Missouri or W.Virgina) but I'm not going for a complete series.
I really do appreciate your ability to keep all these puzzles in mind, Adam.
Red Stick in Pelican State. Thanks#19: Susan Nagy (susannagy54) on May 5, 2017
Agree #18. Baton Rouge, Louisana. I think this puzzle is a very good "map" of the state in a 20 x 20.#20: Dave Oas (khpdave) on May 10, 2017
Thanks Dan & Susan!#21: Greggo (Greggo) on Apr 9, 2018
