Puzzle Description:
The title is sort of a double meaning. The alternating colors is kinda "mesmerizing" and so is the book that the boy is reading :) I thought I'd try a little different technique with this puzzle as you may have noticed. Let me know what you guys think!

Ok, I was sitting here, knowing what the background was, and looking at the all the white wondering, "what in the world". Even after I knew what it was, I still had to take a second glance to see it. Once I realized the color pattern, it resolved itself in in a spiral closing in on the center of the pattern.

Completely agree with #10. Absolutely brilliant. In general, I flat out HATE those symmetrical, rainbows, patterns, designs, etc, and I was afraid this was going to be one of those, based on how the blank puzzle looked, and seeing all those rainbows of 1's. As I was finishing, I thought it was a mother and child, though the child looked weird.
