Puzzle Description:

a simple lil snow globe...

#1: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Dec 22, 2012 [HINT]

I used edge logic to get going once LL ran out (the blue 7 in the rightmost column and the blue 13 in the 3rd-to-last row). Then it was careful counting and color logic, and greying out the clues I'd placed, to keep track. There was a bit of lookahead in the lower left corner at the end, but it was easy enough to keep in my head. Not sure if that would qualify it as deep lookahead, since I had to go 4-5 moves in my head.

Lovely image, but maybe an extra pixel of black in the lower left corner would help the solve (unless you were going for deep lookahead). I would suggest R21 C10.

only a few blacks to place at that point, with very few spaces open. I'll add the pixel though...

So much fun. Brought a big smile to my face.

thanks, Norma! and you too, Kristen! prob better with the extra black

as far as the solve goes, I imm started with el on that 7, then the top row, then left side and did the entire globe outline in blue first...(after the color logic on the bottom row black)

Lovely solve! Thanks!

thanks, Jota! I thought to do it after you mentioned wanting snow...

Wow. This is really a good puzzle, Kurt. Lovely image and way fun to solve, even if it was a bit of a challenge.

Great puzzle, Kurt!

I liked the idea so much that the little blue snowflakes help it solve with colour logic inside the sphere.
Almost the same solve as #1, but that's a new version, so it took me a little smile logic at the left (inside the sphere), and of course EL for the blue pixels.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.
#13: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 11, 2018 [HINT]
I solved this in 2012 before I got my Solvability Powers. I voted it as mod lookahead, but didn't make a comment as to how I solved it.

This time I did edge logic on the 13 in r23 as soon as I could. Then ll/cl

EL 7 c25 places it (this could have been done first.) Then ll/cl extends the line up to the top.

EL 8 r1 = c1-6 white. Then LL/CL finishes it.

Great game mage. You captured the snow brilliantly

I love it when I have to really work at solving a puzzle.
This one is awesome! Thanks for a fun solve!
