Did you mean until 2013?
#2: Dave Oas (khpdave) on Jan 1, 2013
Yes I did. I'm going to leave my mistake here unti I quit writing 2012 on my checks (I'd guess June or July).

I just got used to writing 2012. And now it's time to change. Again! :)

nice puzzle...

fun fact: Father Time is based from the Greek Titan Kronos(meaning "time", ofc) who was father to the god Zeus. His mother was Rhea, and is the basis for our Mother Earth...

Thanks for the info, Kurt. May have heard that somewhere but it didn't stick.

I didn't know that at all about Kronos and Rhea. I'm a fan of the "Clan of the Cave Bear" novels, by Jean Auel. She talks about Mother Earth in those books. This was eons before Greece. Of course, a lot of what she writes is pure fiction--just fun.

Fun pouzzle, Dave!

Puzzle authors should always describe what it is that they expect us to see, even when they think it is very obvious. This is one of the many, many images I have come across that I see nothing but a hot mess. I know, if guided by the puzzle maker, I could at least get an inkling of what they intended.

In this case, Dave, it's the new year's top hat and the old year's scythe. Both are tightly cropped.

Part of the fun, in a puzzle like this, is the "Aha!" you get, when it finally clicks into place.

I hope you're not still writing 2012 on your checks, Dave

ROFL Joe!
