I'd not worry about too much detail. 3 stars is awesome for a small puzzle, and even those aren't given too often. originality and fun to solve is more imp, and you seem to have that covered already. I'm sure you'll put out some great ones!

Wow, Norma! You sure have figured out what it takes to create a good puzzle. I love all the details you artistically place in these small grids. But the best part is that Aha! moment when that unexpected feature just pops up, like a surprise package.

I could tell this was old. Igor was still hunched over, black, and unnamed. (As was Mr. Cat--unnamed and on all fours) :)
